The Creative Explorers Workshop is a creative haven, where you can buy craft kits and local handmade products, take part in drop-in craft activities, book sessions in the jewellery studio, or book into one (or more!) of our varied programme of workshops.
What can you do here?
-
Come in and browse our selection of giftable craft kits and locally handmade products, including sterling silver jewellery.
-
The (upstairs) Craft Room is always open during the day (Tuesday to Saturday). Choose from our range of craft activities (all materials provided) or bring your own project to work on, and ‘rent a chair’ for just £5. No booking necessary - just turn up!
-
Come to any of our scheduled workshops which mainly run in the evenings. They cover all kinds of creative topics, from jewellery making or writing, to crochet and tarot! Advance booking is essential and can be done online or in person.
-
Book a session (for 1 or 2 people) with Soozi in the Jewellery Studio and work on a project of your choice.
-
Hire out the upstairs Craft Room to host your own workshop, party or event. Various packages are available. Contact us for more information.
Upcoming Workshops
-

Jewellery Making
Whether you want to learn how to work with wire and beads, stamp metal or paint wood, we have several workshops that teach different jewellery making techniques, using a wide range of materials.
-

Writing
Whatever kind of writer you are (even if you don’t consider yourself a writer!) you’ll find a supportive environment here, with a number of different workshops from creative writing to journalling.
-

Paint & Collage Evening
This is a very informal workshop experimenting with texturing patterns, magazines, papers and fabric, along with acrylic paint, to create an abstract piece of art.
ABOUT
SOOZI
Soozi is a former university lecturer (among many other things!)
She has now swapped criminology for creativity, and is redirecting her years of experience in teaching and training into opening a creative haven, where people can engage with arts, crafts and jewellery making, in order to connect with their innate creativity.
Her skills lie mainly in writing and jewellery making, but as a ‘creative explorer’ she’s learning new things all the time!
